TOP REASONS TO TITHE:

1. There's no money for new choir robes, so the choir has started wearing their bathrobes during the services.
2. The last few Sundays, the treasurer has gotten up halfway through the service and turned the heat/air conditionning off.
3. The preachers wife has worn the same dress every Sunday for the past three years.
4. The treasurer has stated wearing sackcloth and ashes.
5. You can't call the church office because the phone has been disconnected.
6. Parking meters have been installed in the church parking lot.
And the most important reason....As a christian church emmber, you understand the privilege it is to have a partnership in the Gospel! Malachi 3:8-10
Verse 8 - Will a man rob God? Yet you have robbed me. But you say, wherein have we robbed thee? In tithes and offerings.
Verse 9 - Ye are cursed with a curse for ye have robbed me, even this whole nation.
Verse 10 - Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house and prove me now herewith saith the Lord of host. If I will not open you the windows of Heaven and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.
Can you even imagine the many positive ways God blesses the Christian who practices biblical stewardship? If you are presently a tither, then I say "Thank you for your evidence of obedience to God's word." If you are not a tither, let me encourage you to begin today. God has a wonderful plan of encouraging His church in the area of ministry - one part of the plan is that those who are followers of Jesus Christ become tithers. Let's honor God with our tithe!
